Last week our marketing goal was to focus on getting book reviews and I hope your efforts are paying off.  To continue the support of your book review endeavors I’ve pulled together some additional articles that cover a variety of angles on the book review process and some tips.

Savvy Authors Are Book Reviewers.  Once upon a time an author published a book.  After the book had launched they patiently sat in their imaginary castle tower, waiting for the book reviews to start magically posting to Amazon and Goodreads.  As the weeks went by, no book reviews appeared and the author lost all hope that their dream of seeing positive comments, recommendations and endorsements would never come to life.  Do you know what I say to those fairytale authors?  Jump.  Jump from the tower into your moat of denial, not only will you never get any book reviews, it will be a lifetime before you see any book sales.

Marketing Your Book Through Book Reviews. Part of the key to turning a book into a bestseller is exposure. The goal is to get as many people exposed to the existence of your book as possible. One way to accomplish this is to get book reviews published in as many newspapers, magazines, journals, Web sites, and blogs as possible. The more exposure a book gets, the greater the number of people exposed to the existence of the book.

Getting Reviews for the Life of Your Book. A good book review can go a long way in helping an author to sell more books.  It doesn’t matter if your book is just getting ready to launch, if it’s been on the book shelf for years.  Having a title that continues to get reviews…will continue to sell.

Take the time to read through each of these articles to continue to take advantage that all book reviews have to offer.  Post your reviews below for everyone to enjoy!
