Marketing Subject:  Obvious Marketing Tools

Sometimes we forget the obvious in marketing our books. We get so busy trying to be profound that we forget things that are right before our eyes.

For example, we should not forget the Book Marketing Packages offered by infinity. It might be helpful to send everyone you know a postcard, a business card, and a bookmark. Include with these things an order form for your book. The books included with the package can also be helpful in getting you to launch your book marketing plan. Read them and select the techniques that you feel will work best for you. All techniques mentioned won’t work for every person; what works for you will depend upon a number of situations. Don’t just add the books to your library, and bemoan the fact that you aren’t having any luck at selling your books. The materials are done so well that one should be proud to hand them out to anyone. When you go to the library to get a book to read, leave a book mark in it for the patrons who read the book after you.  Leave copies of your business card on the bulletin board at local groceries stores. You might also ask other over-the-counter businesses if you can leave copies of your card in view of customers. You might leave your own special card holder for your cards.

How many books you will sell from these efforts will depend on name recognition, relationships with individuals, and other important factors. But don’t order these Marketing Packages and let them sit in your closet until they are out of date. Make good use of them. They will help you to sell your books.
