Marketing Goal of the Week...Add Your Phone Number!

This week's assignment is as easy as 1-2-3!

Ring, ring.  “Hello. I’m with the local radio station and interested in speaking with the author of the book to do an interview, is he available?”

Are you an author who doesn’t promote a phone number on your website, email signature or on your marketing materials?  HELLO!!!  How is someone supposed to reach you?

Do you know how many times I've tried reaching an author to get them scheduled on a radio telephoneshow and have no way to reach them! No phone number in their email...why is that?

If there is no phone number in the email the next place I look is on their author website, but most of the time an author who doesn’t have a phone number in their email signature…typically doesn’t have a website address listed either. What is a publicist to do?

If you have an issue with putting your home or cell out there for the world to see, we have a solution for that too! Sign up for a Google Voice number and have it forward to your cell. It's FREE! If an author doesn't have a phone number where I can reach them, they are out of luck when a PR opportunity comes up and I don't ever go back, it's not worth my time.

Authors I beg you please, post a phone number on your site so the media can get in touch. This is a simple marketing step that can help you avoid the mishap of missed media opportunities.

Do YOU have your phone number posted on your website, in your email sigature and included on your marketing materials?  Tell us about the calls you're getting below...
